Ryan rolled the dice and moved towards Dina. His token suddenly stopped as well. He looked at the display.
"You have been caught in a trap: a magical portal. To escape, play one card."
"Oh no," said Ryan, realising that they wouldn't be able to win the game without him using the last card.
"You see?" said Toby. "You couldn't have stopped it from happening. Now, I wonder what happens when we lose? Perhaps the game stops?"
"Oh, Toby," said Mary. "I really doubt that. Probably some punishment on us."
"Too late. Put the card down, Ryan."
Ryan smiled. "We haven't lost yet, Toby." Ryan put down the last card, and Toby stared in shock.
