Deep into the woods was a beautifully secluded clearing known as Bunny's Glade, due to the number of rabbits that had once inhabited the area. They seemed to have disappeared, with people speculating that there was some form of migration they partook as the area was left untouched and no sign of any external force or aggression was present.
Regardless, it made for an ideal spot for the young scouts to set up camp and enjoy the early beginnings of summer as a troop. What they didn't realize was that their presence had resurrected a magic that lay dormant since the glade was abandoned. The lack of rabbits posed as a problem for its namesake and the magic intended to mend this problem. Fortunately for it, the boys that tread upon its land would make perfect replacements.
By the time the tents were set up, the sun just dove behind the horizon and evening had settled, signalling the rest of the scouts to call it in for the night. With the campsite established, the tired boys settled into their tents, falling quickly to sleep due to the laborious day as well as a bit of the glade's magical influence.
The stars shone lightly onto the glade as the boys slept, none of them aware of the changes that would soon befall on them. The soft bed of grass and wildflowers began to glow as tiny droplets of magical dew began to rise into the air, radiating with lapine magic around each tent. Inside, the bodies of each boy began to shift and change, starting with their heads.
Ears began to grow out, lengthening and travelling up each head until every boy had a pair of cute bunny ears poking out from between their hair. Noses began to shrink, becoming pink and sensitive as they twitched in their sleep. Whiskers soon followed, poking out of each upper lip while creating little divots for each one.
As quickly as the magic came, it soon faded away, leaving a camp full of young boys with partially bunnified faces. Though it seemed over, it was only just the beginning for the magical lapine events that would keep the boys under the influence of the glade.
