The next day, Lance and his family was at the hospital.
The Doctor, Stanley Inani, or 'Stan', as he was often called, was experimenting on the inflated-looking Lance.
"He hasn't had any allergic reactions?" Stan asked his wife.
"No." Lucile said.
"No injuries?"
"nO."
"Well, the fact is, it's very strange. For people to get fatter without putting on weight. It's crazy!"
He measured Lance's weight on the scales. it was difficult, for Lance's feet kept wobbling when he put them on the scales, and his body kept being off balance, which soon meant his wife and the doctor had to keep him still whilst he was weighed.
his Weight was 101lbs, but they discovered it was rapidly decreasing to 90... to 80... and still going down.
"Strangest weight loss..." Stan said, as he and Lucille helped Lance back onto the hospital bed.
"Doc, what's happening to me?" Lance asked, his voice now much higher. "Why do I feel like I'm becoming like a balloon?"
Dr Stan felt Lance's inflated feet. they felt a bit like balloons. "Whatever your condition is, it is the most baffling one. a balloonifying disease that makes people balloon like you, well, it's never happened at all. I'm not sure there is a cure."
"Lance, you're lucky you're not the shrinking man right now." Dr Stan said. "I bet even then there wasn't a cure for shrinkage, never mind balloonifying."
He suddenly began to scratch his bald head. "Come to think of it," he said, "I suddenly feel like I'm full of air right now."
