At first, Edwin had only noticed minor changes throughout his body, with the hair on his arms and legs receding within seconds, as did what little stubble Edwin had. Edwin laughed in joy at the realization that he was actually changing, then laughed again when he heard his voice cracked, a string of giggles that eventually rose to a boy's alto. While his voice was getting higher, Edwin realized that he was shrinking. Since the reality option was enabled, his clothes shrank along with his body, morphing into clothes more appropriate for a kid. His room started undergoing changes as well, with his bed turning into a twin-sized bed, and some action figures being prominent on the shelves in his room. The Chronivac ads were still present in his room as was the Chronivac itself. Before he knew it, the changes stopped and Edwin looked at his new stats.

Edwin jumped in excitement after realizing that the Chronivac had actually transformed him, only for the excitement to escalate after hearing his younger voice. He checked the full length mirror in his room, and his jaw dropped as he was staring at the boy he was in first grade, just before his 7th birthday. "I guess I won't be going to high school tomorrow," Edwin told himself, "And I also bet I'm gonna end up having my second 7th birthday." Edwin was loving the sound of his younger voice, and decided to live like this for a few days. It wasn't long after the changes that Edwin was getting tired, even though it was only 8:30 pm. While he managed to get ready for bed, he initially had a hard time sleeping due to his excitement at the Chronivac working.
When Edwin woke up the next day, he noticed there was a portable emitter next to his computer that had the Chronivac. He decided to take the emitter with him to school in case he decides to have some fun with it. As a result of the reality change, Edwin had to go back to the 1st grade. As his parents dropped him off at his old elementary school, Edwin took one look at the students in his class. While Edwin had some maturity left in him, his younger mindset kept telling him to use the Chronivac to mess with the class. With his childish mindset taking over, Edwin searched for his first target.
