Considering all the craziness involving magic rings and parallel timelines that Kellie had been involved with, high school classes were very simple in comparison. In fact, Kellie was finding them rather boring. She didn't have very strong memories of the various lessons she took when she was in high school in her original timeline, but she remembered enough for the lessons to jog her memory and keep ahead. But it still like she was taking the same classes twice and that ground on her enthusiasm a bit.
Things got a little more exciting when it was time for lunch, though the excitement wasn't really for her. As she was heading for the cafeteria, she saw a big guy wearing a punk rock t-shirt and jeans with his black hair in a bad haircut. He was looming over a smaller kid and it didn't sound like he was just having a friendly chat.
"That's Kevin," said Katie, walking up to Kellie, "Our resident bully."
"Let me guess," said Kellie, "He's a valuable player on one of our sports team so he can still get away with it."
"You'd think so, but he has no interest in sports, not like he can get his grades up enough for him to be on any team," said Katie, "I think he's wanting to bully for a career, if that's possible."
"Sure it is," said Kellie dryly, "Especially if you're hired muscle for a mob boss."
"Haven't you done something with him?" asked Kellie, indicating her ring.
"I've thought about it, but that might cause too much of a ruckus and unwanted attention," said Katie.
"You can just reality, you know," said Kellie, "We could make him into a young freshman again, or even younger."
"Is age really all you two can think about?" asked another voice. They turned to see Mary Elise.
"Our rings only do ages," said Katie.
"But mine could do so much more," said Mary Elise, lifting her hand to show it off, "I could do a lot to him, even make not human."
"No inanimate objects," said Kellie sternly, "And no turning him into a bug or some other vermin. He's a jerk, but not evil enough to deserve that."
"Fine, I'll give you that," said Mary Elise, "But I dislike that guy as much as you do and you want to see him taken down a peg too. So, shall we take care of him?"
"Fine, but if he's an animal, it'll only be temporary," said Kellie.
"And let's not get overboard with it," said Katie.
