The wolfish changes affecting your body seems not to be receding at all. From what you could see, more of the fur had thickened and upon inspection, a swath of white-gray coat of fur had developed on your back.
"Don't worry Leona... I don't think I'm gonna lose control. Like I said, its like a mutation spreading through my body, more like I'm getting a wolf suit rather than a monster... I hope..." Grimacing at your uncertainty, you look to Leona and briefly glanced her worried face as she immediately turned to look straight, pacing herself in this new hallway.
"I hope you're right. You're supposed to watch my back, not drool over it okay? Keep those teeth to yourself please." She seemed to hug herself for comfort and you had to slow down for her own sake. "Oh.. okay. I promise."
You give a nod as she does as well, an awkward silence following soon after. The hallway lights flicker weakly but it didn't bother your newer eyesight. However, Leona clearly struggled as she tripped on her own paws.
Her snake tail turned to you and threateningly hisses when you walked closer, and you attempt to placate it with a non-threatening gesture. You call out to Leona at the front, having difficulty bringing both torch and the bag full of transformative foodstuff.
"Leona, let me walk at the front. I can see you having trouble..." You see her turn to look at you before turning back, clearly deciding. You feel guilt that Leona is clearly scared of you. Playing it dangerously, you suggest another. "If I'm at the front you can watch me..."
"Fine... I'll walk behind you, so lead the way wolfboy." It was so obvious of her attempt to hide behind a false bravado, but you couldn't help but chuckle. "What are you laughing at?!" Her face reddened either to embarrassment or anger you do not know. "Nothing nothing. I'll take lead."
You walk to the front and Leona made a move to give you the torch. However you looked at her and refused it. "Better eyesight. Its better that you hold it so that I can use this sword better."
"Okay." Leona walked behind you, and you're now at the head. This time, you're face first into battle.
A bit of pain assaults your teeth as it lengthened, a bit of blood leaking from your developing razors.
To your fascination and horror, it tasted quite good. You heft your sword and grip it tightly until your knuckles whitened, iron will strenghtening.
Your stomach rumbled and you remembered that you hadn't eaten for a while now and that fight drained you too much. Along with your changing body, you could feel the need.
You turn to look to Leona, and you really couldn't stop yourself.
It doesn't matter right now, you needed to EAT.
