"Don't worry Nate," Laura said gently. "We'll work this out. I promise I won't tell anyone about you."
Relieved by this, Nathan finally wiped the tear from his face and gave a smile - the smile that was apparently designed as the trademark for Nathan's character form.
"Thanks Laura," he quietly responded, reminding himself that despite her obnoxious behaviour and radical social lifestyle, deep down Laura was a caring soul.
That thought changed however when Laura stood back up, knowing that she successfully cheered up her tiny flatmate.
"So..." she carefully crept into her previous manner, "I take it these aren't your normal clothes?"
Laura pointed out the teenager's attire: a plain beige tank-top and khaki skinny jeggings along with a pair of brown slip-ons. Nathan looked down at his outfit, slightly embarrassed by Laura's criticism. Laura was known for having an eye for fashion and she was clearly not feeling the teenage girl's current wardrobe.
"Not like I'll be wearing my regular clothes anyway," Nathan sighed. "The studio's gonna be providing my clothes for the next few weeks anyway..."
"Oh?" Laura stopped him in his tracks.
