While Fall was considered one of the bad parts of the year, there was plenty of things to keep it from being the most hated season.
---
It was a decision of the Animalia Council that, because it was now neither too hot nor too cold to do so, it was time to begin the "harvesting" part of the Mister and Miss Farmhand Games. In old times, early fall was sometimes called Indian summer, which was often considered the best time to start getting the harvest in. Though there was still no real answer to whether there were going to be mudwrestling, sumo-trained pigs.

With Summer officially over, Camp Sun was closed down as a summer camp, but that didn't mean that it was completely closed. With the official start of fall, it was reopened as a hunting and fishing camp. While most people went elsewhere to hunt or fish, they could still get hunting tags and/or fishing passes at Camp Sun. But special passes were required to, for example, hunt feral, wild turkeys for the thanksgiving banquet.

There were also other things that were considered part of fall, such as jumping in leaves, corn mazes, and similar activities. One way to help explain to uplifted animals about the 'jumping in leaves' fall tradition, it was decided to gather all the fallen leaves in the neighborhood once a week and, once it got into October, make the biggest pile of leaves ever made, then turn loose the younger children of Lyre and Animalia to play in the leaves.
---
Another thing that was done was a four-day fall break. It was decided to use that break (which was in October this year) to allow Animalia Ambassadoria and the Five Elements tour the new Asian colony at this time, to which both groups didn't have a problem to, as long as they signed out in case of another "Storm from Nowhere".
---
The final thing was the "migratory packages" that were made available for either bird Animalians, or cold blooded Animalians. These were week-long vacation packages in places with warmer climates, mainly because most birds in the northern hemisphere spent their winter months in the southern hemisphere. One of those who were known to pick up the packages was Sylvia Rattlerton. It was a video from one such package that was easily the funniest was from Mieni Atoll, where one tourist got "nipped" by a local parrot on his ear.

Because of the popularity of the Mister and Miss Farmhand Competition, Fall was shaping up to be rather fun.
