Marcy and Ty didn't spend any time in the house, it was a beautiful day to run around!
Ty simply transported themselves to a park across town where they spent the day running though the woods, sniffing out and chasing small animals and playing catch with a couple of little kids and a frisbee. After that, they laid near a small pond in the bushes and slept.
It was a wonderful, delightful feeling for the both of them.
As the sun started to go down, Ty decided that it was getting too late to continue and he brought them back to Marcys house. With a thought, their bodies began to grow and shed the golden fur. It was only a few moments before they were humans again.
"Thank you, Ty," she said in a quiet, almost awed voice. There was a hint of disapointment in it, though.
"What's wrong?" he asked, curious.
She looked at him and smiled, "It was just so wonderful! The freedom, the lack of responsibility. It's just a different life, a fantasy of absolute freedom. It's hard to have a taste, and then have it go away."
"We could do this again, from time to time," suggested Ty. "I had fun, too."
She smiled, "I know, but I don't think it's the same for you. It's a distraction, and with your power you'd be bored as a dog. You've only been like this for a couple days, you can be anyone or anything."
Ty took her hand, "Would you like this to be forever?"
She looked hopeful, but scared at the same time, "I would, but..." Her voice trailed off, her concerns unspoken.
"You don't want to be old in just 10 years, dead in maybe 12," he smiled, "I can fix that, you know."
Her hand was shaking, "What happens if I change my mind? What happens to my family? Freinds?"
"I could simply make it so that you never existed," he said, "And that you'd always been a dog. No one would miss you because no one would remember you. And if you change your mind, just tell me. I'll return everything back to normal."
She seemed stuck now. She clearly didn't like the possibility of simply going away, her human life being nothing, but the idea of reaching an insane goal, of shucking away her human life, was too much to bear!
