For some reason, Sandra suddenly imagined that the Species reassignment program was actually something cooked up by reptilian aliens because the dinosaurs were alien colonist and when they went extinct, the humans took over, so they created the reassignment program to populate the Earth with sentient reptiles like originally intended.
She didn't know why that silly fantasy occurred to her. Maybe because it was the sensations of the body she grew up with is changing into something so alien. But as fast as the train of thought occurred to her, it went away.
She shook the frantic fantasies from her head as she returned to reality.
Glancing down at the paper before her, she realized that it was the same reassignment sheet she filled out before undergoing the procedure.
There was a section on the bottom that allows applicants to check off their species of choice. Since she asked for reptiles, this particular sheet only lists off available reptilian species. The sheet was almost exactly as it was when she turned it in to the receptionist. Examining the sheet, she noted that all the boxes were still checked. That includes some weird choices such as becoming a Basilisk, dinosaur, dragon, Godzilla, Hydra, Naga, Quetzalcoatl, Wyvern, and other such choices.
At first she was surprised that such impossible choices were there, but then she remembered that the whole point if the program was to prevent extinction. And if they can turn people into animals, then animals such as dinosaurs and mythical creatures aren't too much of a stretch either right?Just because she hasn't herd or seen dinosaurs or dragons, that doesn't mean the government doesn't have some kind of nature preserve for them.
She initially wanted to be a crocodile or Alligator. When she was a girl, she watched Doctor Kirby turn himself into alligator, Watching his slowly transform stuck with her, and she soon started imagining what it would be like to be a alligator. But that wasn't the only reptilian species she was interested in becoming. She wonder what it'll be like with chemelon eyes, a snake tail, dragon wings, and other reptilian things. So she just checked all the boxes and left up to the reassignment program to decide her fate.
So she was surprised when she noticed that under the checked boxes, one of the staff wrote "Experimental chimera ???" in pen.
Does this mean she'll gain different reptile parts? She doesn't know how to feel about that, but she guess she'll find out soon enough...
