As Danni calmed down, she felt her babies kick again. She winced in discomfort as she thought about what she just did. She knows these aren't her kids so why is she doing this? "I'm sorry chief. I guess my instincts took over there, you're gonna have to take this from-" Then she stopped herself. The chief still looked a little like the chief, but was now a young girl. She seemed about 18, had unkept curly red locks, a cute little skirt outfit, and stylish glasses.
"Chief?" She asked confused. "Am I the chief? I know you changed me in like anger or whatever. Is that who I was?"
"Oh no no of course not..." Danni quickly glanced down at the Chief's new name tag. "...Jessie! I uh, think. My head feels a little weird still. Can you call the chief for me?" She lied.
Jessie shrugged it off. She didn't want to argue with her friend Danny. She was super bummed that he was a woman now, since Jessie found him super cute. She brushed her curly hair from her ear and put the old phone system on. "Hiya Chief! Danny's here to see you! But he's like a mom now so don't be freaked or whatever." She said in a cute inflection. Danni tried not to laugh at the former macho man twirling locks of hair in a skirt.
Danni walked off and began trying to figure out what she should do. Whoever this new chief was may not be as calm about the device. She wanted to be normal, whatever or whoever she was, but she didn't want to lose her babies. Her instincts were just too strong. She walked in and saw that reality had shifted. Her old pal Janet was apparently elevated to the level of Chief.
Danni realized the device was stronger than she originally thought. It appeared that any change to a person could be noticed by their charms, but any ripples caused by that change were unnoticed. Now Danni was the only one who remembered Janet wasn't the chief, and that the real chief isn't supposed to be a teen intern.
