Emily looked at the picture and was deeply frustrated by what she saw. In Rick's place, was now an even younger girl. She looked to be about 14. Her curly red hair was brighter and kept in a curly ponytail. She was a cute pink shirt with matching leggings. She also hadn't clearly finished puberty yet, nor was she very tall.
To her left was an infant. It was a tiny baby sitting on the floor wearing a diaper and a blue shirt. Emily realized that not only was Marion a baby, but she was also a baby boy. Emily looked around them and saw that the room had changed. It was no longer a guest room being lived in by an old lady, but a nursery for a baby boy.
Emily also realized that the camera was gone. Emily started to panic as she looked around. "Can you not find it?" Said Rick, who quickly held his throat. "Is that my voice? Oh God Emily am I younger?" As he said that, the baby on the floor started to cry. Rick instinctively picked him up to try and apologize while Emily finished looking around the room.
"I can't find it Rick. I have no idea where it is. Marion where would this thing be? You said this could happen sometimes so where would it go?" Emily questioned.
Marion could only babble. Emily walked in a circle frustrated. She then sat next to the crib and sighed. "I'm sorry Ricki, we'll just have to keep looking."
She looked up at Rick who looked concerned. "Did you just call me-" Rick began to say before the door opened and Ben walked in. Emily realized that once he was in earshot they could only talk like they were in this reality to begin with. He looked mostly normal but looked a little more frazzled. The biggest eye drawer for Emily however was the fact that he had the camera?!?
"Hey Emily." He began. "I can't thank you enough for doing this. I wanted to thank you by taking a picture of you and the kids."
Emily was panicking. She had to act fast or Rick and Marion wouldn't be the only ones changed.
