George was on a budget, so this bin was a godsend, since he really only had the money for one costume when he needed to buy one for both himself and his girlfriend, Alice.
Thankfully, it looked like both of what they wanted in the bin, a princess costume and a dragon costume, for some roleplay after the party they were going to that Alice's boss had invited them both to at the office she worked at.
Carefully he grabbed the dragon tail and that pointed rimless fabric hat that a lot of princess costumes had instead of crowns and lifted. What came up wasn't what he expected, as the dragon tail was attached to the underside of a the princess' dress, a full-head dragon head mask had been sewn into the hat.
As he pulled out the rest of the apparently singular costume, all the pieces attached by strings and knots that could be undone to put on the disparate parts, a quick look inside the pieces showed why the two costumes had been pieced together, holes and tears in the dragon costume, in the head, the dragon's claw gloves which had been sewn onto, and apparently entirely missing pieces of the princess costume, like the boots which were completely replaced with the dragon feet, and the gloves the claw gloves replaced. The only damage to the princess costume, two tears in the back, where repaired by sewing on the dragon wings.
George didn't have time to go to another store, his lunch break from his own job was almost over, and he had seen both a princess and dragon costume earlier but only had the money to buy one of them and this. George was going to need to make a choice.
