The audience shouted out an assortment of suggestions until one caught Sorcerer Spectra's attention. Animal. She smiled as she looked down at Nate. Nate looked up at her, his heart racing a mile a minute.
"I like that. Turn this young boy into an animal. That will be fun, won't it Nate?" Spectra rubbed his shoulder as Nate started breathing heavy. "You see, I picked Nate for a very special reason. All of you out there, your hands raised, crying out me, me, me. I locked onto this boy here. I could sense he wanted to be picked. He wanted to come up here and be changed. But he was afraid to admit it. Isn't that true, Nate? Be honest, please."
Nate looked out into the audience, scanning the boys and girls in the stand and he nodded.
"Then, why would you deny yourself the chance to let your wish be fulfilled?" asked Spectra, getting down on a knee and looking the young boy in the eyes.
"I was afraid people would think I was a freak for wanting to be turned into something else. Even if it was just a little while."
"I don't think you're a freak. And it doesn't matter what these kids think. What's important is you being true to yourself." Sorcerer Spectra gave him a reassuring smile. "I want everyone to have a good time at my shows. So lay it on me kid, the sky's the limit. What have you always wanted to transform into?"
