"I think you should *croak* tell them Lucy. You saw everything that happened after all *croak*" Annie offered in a slightly accusatory tone. Laura looked at Lucy for an answer while Sophie was just happy to look away from the naked young woman for a moment.
"What? You mean with the crystal?" Lucy asked, hoping that maybe some of Annie's human memories were returning.
"What crystal?" Annie croaked "I'm obviously talking about the *croak* witch in the forest who transformed me while you ran away and hid behind a *croak* tree. I mean, I'm not mad at you for *croak* protecting yourself but at least admit what happened *croak*"
"I have nothing to admit!" Lucy snapped, having finally become exasperated by the whole situation "Your mind got messed up by that crystal you touched in the magic shop. It's making you believe you are a frog and now it's turning you against me!"
"Whatever Lucy *croak*, just make stuff up if you're too ashamed to tell the truth *croak*" Annie clearly meant what she said. Meanwhile, Sophie and Laura didn't know what to think.
"Come on, you can't seriously believe a story about witches in forests can you?" Lucy asked in desperation.
"No, your magical, memory altering crystal makes much more sense" Laura responded with amusement.
"Have you two been experimenting with drugs?" Sophie asked with concern "I'm worried about you Lucy"
"Ok, fine, come with me. You can see the crystal for yourself, but I'm warning you not to touch it!"
"I can't wait!" Laura beamed, almost hoping there was some truth in this.
"At the very least we should talk to the store owner. I mean, just to rule out this completely improbable explanation" Sophie reasoned "Your friend clearly can't keep living healthily in a pond for long after all"
"You want to come with us?" Laura offered the frog girl.
"Are you serious? There's no such thing as *croak* magic crystals! I'm going to hang out here with Sabrina *croak*" a bemused Annie smirked as she leapt back into the pond. The shop was only a short walk way, Lucy hoped her friend couldn't get into too much trouble while she was gone.
