Lucy immediately bursting open the door noticed that no one was there. There was no shopkeeper, no customers, nothing. The lights were on, everything looked as normal as it could be.
"Right, show me where the "crystal ball" is" Sophie said, wondering if what Lucy said was true. Laura was just staring at all the supernatural objects that surrounded the walls, cabinets and shelves of the store. She was in awe of the place. Sophie was still skeptical. Perhaps Annie was just hypnotized into thinking that she was cursed. Or was that also impossible? There had got to be a logical reason for the way that Annie was acting.
"It's in the centre" Lucy replied. She was right, it was in the center of the room, without a spot of dust on it.
"Could you show us what happened?" Laura asked while looking through all the items.
"Well, I told her not to go near the ball, there was a sign there that did say "DO NOT TOUCH THE CRYSTAL BALL", but of course she ignored it and moved forward and touch-"
Lucy's heart went into her stomach. She had touched the ball. But that was okay. It was completely fine. Anyways, she's back to being a...
