Jake was mortified at the sight offered by the photo.
On it, nothing like a humanoid figure : there was instead a large canine, panting and smiling contentedly at the camera lens.
Thoughts occured to him at that exact moment.
While glancing at the photo, he had recognized the breed of the dog as being one large Saint Bernard, which was kind of a big contrast with what his former brother had become before.
When he then dropped both the camera and the photo out of his own volition, he remembered that absolutely NO ONE except him was aware that Luke had changed more than three times, as they were all ignorant of his changes. The same was apparently going to be applied to him now.
Before Jake could even regret doing a selfie, he fell down on the ground, his brain washed away by previous concerns. He sat on his hind legs, not really focused on the camera as he had become a large-sized Saint Bernard, the pet of an only-child family.
Jake was blissfully panting, before getting up and leaving the guest room and the camera. He passed next to Lizzy's room, not paying attention to the absence of his own former room nor the plush poodle sitting on Lizzy's bed, and climbed down the stairs to the living room.
When he reached the ground floor, he was greeted by his old mother, now his female master.
" Hello there, Jake ! " she said.
Jake's former mother went towards the dog to pet him, and gently scratched his head, which made him beam with genuine happiness. There was no more evidence that he used to be a human, as of now.
Meanwhile, the sole daughter of the family went into the previous room. She stumbled upon the camera, and found the photo next to it.
" Weird... " she whispered to herself.
Had she taken a photo of her fluffy Jacky boy ? She couldn't recall that much. Or perhaps it was Mommy or Daddy : they kinda do that all the time, be it on vacation or anytime something incredible happens.
Curiosity got the better of her, and as she took the camera, and claimed it for herself, she though about taking a picture. But one question remained in her head : Who or what would be framed ?
Then, she smiled. She had found out what to do.
