Laura hadn't had time to anticipate just how disconcerting this latest transformation would feel, even in comparison to the others she had been through. Everything felt huge now and it was hard to concentrate on anything other than this sudden and dramatic shift in perspective. However, a familiar voice soom gave her something else to think about.
"*croak* So this new owner I'm getting tomorrow? Do you think he'll be a handsome prince *croak* *croak*" Annie asked hopefully as she hopped into the room. Her hands and feet were fully webbed now and her skin had taken on a definite greenish tint.
"We don't know, it's an auction *ook* *ook* " Sophie now partially covered in thick, dark hair and sporting a fully grown tail explained "As long is I have more space and plenty of bananas wherever I'm goin I'll be happy *ook*"
"*ruff* Yeah, more space to run around would be nice *ruff* *ruff*" Lucy added. She was covered from head to her newly acquired tail in fur and her facial features seemed a little more canine now.
"I'm sure you'll all find very fitting new homes" a familiar fourth voice assured the transformed trio "and this time tomorrow I'll be a very rich man indeed!"
Laura's heart sank at the sound of the owners voice. So that was has plan? To turn her friends into novelty pets for millionaires. At least she still had time to stop him. But how? She couldn't do anything while he was still in the room and the longer she remained a mouse the more likely she was to think that was her real form. Time was already running out.
