Laura couldn't start the search as she heard someone was coming. She had to think quick and the only thing that she could do was hide. But she knew that she couldn't hide like this. She pictured a mouse in her head, and as soon as she did, she felt her body shrink in size, fur covering her body, her spine extending to mouse-like length, her mouth pushing forward into a muzzle and her ears becoming larger, resting upon the top of her head. She had to come to grips that she was a much smaller size, and that things were much, much bigger, but there wasn't enough time.
She hid behind the desk, hoping that that would be the best hiding place.
The more the footsteps came closer, the more she noticed that there wasn't just one.
