I unfroze time and she came running toward me with a worried expression on her face, at first I was worried that maybe she didn't forget being naked, but what she said to me affirmed to me that this was a separate issue.
"Oh Joey! I need help, that damn Paparazzi's after me again!"
She definitely didn't remember being naked. I nodded and managed to get her away from the photographer, and we agreed to go back to our house to be sure that he wouldn't return. Yes we lived together, my parents had been killed in an accident several years ago, and Jo's parents agreed to let me stay with them. I decided that when we got there, I would tell her all about the ring, since her parents wouldn't be home for another week. When we got there, first thing she did was plop herself down on our couch, simply trying to relax after a stressful experience. This was when I would reveal it to her.
"I received something you won't believe"
"Oh yeah, wanna try me?" she responded back.
"You see this ring? It grants wishes." I said, taking up her challenge.
"Oh really? Very funny."
"No seriously, I can prove it too!" I struggled for a moment to think of what I should do, until I looked down at my plain white shirt. "I wish this shirt was pink!" and it definitely changed color. Her face changed from smug, yet disappointed, to that of shock and excitement.
"Holy shit! You could do pretty much whatever you want!"
