You Can't Use The Ring... But Liam Can!

You and Liam walk up to your apartment door. You can hear the faint noises of Walker walking around inside. "Liam, stand in the hallway for 5 minutes," you whisper authoritatively, "and then come inside. I'll leave the door unlocked." Liam makes no indication that he heard you, but he doesn't follow you inside, standing at attention in the dim hallway. You close the door behind you without turning the lock.

"[Name]?," calls Walker, "that you? What did you buy?" Walker comes to meet you in the entryway, walking up to you quickly. His graying hair looks unkempt, and his wrinkled brow is knotted with concern. Suddenly, banging noises start vibrating through the walls behind you. What the...? Then you realize. Although you told Liam to stop talking and stand in the hallway, you didn't tell him he couldn't use his body to make a ton of noise. You'll have to be quick, otherwise your whole floor will be out to see the commotion. Walker walks over to the door suspiciously, breezing past you. "Is that it outside?" You clear your throat and pull the amulet from your shirt again. "No, it's this!" As soon as Walker turns to look at it, you speak your command. "Stand still and be quiet." Walker freezes like a mannequin, and you push past his sagging, older body. You'll deal with him later.

You open the door a little and poke your head out. "Liam. Come inside, and stand in the living room. Then, don't move." Liam smiles defiantly, snaking past you and your cousin to walk into the living room. A neighbor or two poke their heads out to see what all that banging was, and you offer a meek apology before closing and locking the front door behind you. Phew. That was close, but you're in control of the situation again for the time being. You've made a lot of mistakes today, and you're determined to get some things right. You start with Walker.

You hold the amulet in front of his face, giving him many of the same instructions as Liam. He has to do what you say with or without the amulet, he can't touch the amulet or tell anyone about it, and he's not allowed to hurt you or ask for help. Then, you give him a new instruction. "Without talking, go get the ring and bring it to me. Then stand in the living room." Walker starts to walk robotically towards your guest room where he's stashed the ring. But strangely, Liam starts to move too. He just kind of looks around in confusion, turning things over randomly. Oh! He's looking for the ring, too, you realize. You'll have to be more specific with your instructions, or it might lead to more mistakes. "Liam, you can stand in the living room again," you say, making sure to use the wrestling champ's name. Finally, Walker comes back with the ring and plops it angrily into your hand. Your cousin looks pissed -- he was probably expecting to be 19 again by now, running off to get laid or spend some of his new cash. Part of that plan was likely to leave you high and dry, too, though, so you can't feel too bad. Liam though, you feel sorry for. He clearly looks lost -- whether or not he recognized Walker, he probably knows he's in a bad situation. You'll fix that later, though, whether it's making him forget the whole thing or something more... fun.

You address the 19 year-old and ex-19 year-old again. "When I am finished speaking, both of you will be able to talk again. No yelling, though, we've disturbed the neighbours enough." An interesting thought flashes in your mind before you finish. "Oh, and you have to answer any questions I ask you truthfully." Liam is first to speak. "Fuckin' hell Walker, what did he do to you? You look like dogshit. Old dogshit." Walker can't turn to look at Liam, so he just stares forward with a tired-looking expression. "Shit man, I'm sorry you got dragged into this. My freaky fag cousin is probably gonna make us do some messed up shit..." You click your tongue at Walker. Kinda funny he's playing the victim after being such a dick all day. "Walker, what really happened today? Why don't you tell Liam?" Walker clears his throat, speaking in a focused stream.

"My cousin got a magic ring that can switch body parts. He messed up, and ended up with my tiny 3-inch dick and blue eyes while I got his normal 6-inch cock and brown eyes. I threatened [name] and stole the ring. I tried to use it to become rich, and it worked, but then I became old too. I yelled at him and made fun of his dick and then told him to get me another magic item. Then--" "That's enough Walker. I'm sure Liam is up to speed." The brawny teen is laughing, despite the uncomfortable situation. Walker would be staring daggers at Liam if he could move his neck. "3 inches? Really? Damn, even your dweeby cousin is more man than you!" Walker's wrinkled face goes an angry red. "Yeah? Like you're so fuckin' great." Interesting.

"Walker," you begin, excitedly anticipating the answer to your next question, "what do you really think of Liam?" Walker's age-beaten face bunches into a grimace, and he speaks slowly, each word a drop of venom. "Liam thinks that he's hot shit, but everyone knows that he didn't quit wrestling because he was bored of it, it's because he's such a fucking idiot he couldn't even get into my school. Everyone thinks he's low-key retarded. He's probably the dumbest guy I know." Liam's gray eyes are narrowed. He'd probably be shaking with anger if he could move, or knocking your cousin's elderly body to the ground. "Fuck you," Liam says in desperation, unable to think of anything more biting. It really didn't take long for them to turn on each other -- this is way more entertaining than anything you could have come up with on your own. You decide to ask Liam a question, too.

"And you, Liam," you ask, "what do you think of Walker?" Liam speaks slowly, answering carefully. "Walker," he says in a grumble, "is a grade-A homo. He gets all pissy when me and the dudes spend the night with girls instead of crashing at his place, prolly 'cause the girls he gets throw his teeny-dick ass out the second he drops his pants. Plus, he thinks he's all buff and shit when I could break his toothpick arms with one hand. My bro Arlin always says he's obsessed with us and the other guys, and that he prolly runs track just to check dudes out in the locker room."

You smile and walk over to Liam's inert body. You ask him to extend his hand, and you slide the magic ring onto it. He keeps it raised, still unable to move. "Sounds like there's a lot of tension here. Me and Walker blew our magic ring loads for the day," you say, checking the wall clock. 8PM. "But you're able to use it, Liam. And I know just what you're going to do to shake things up a bit..."
