Laura was a rabbit. Laura was always a rabbit. But why did she feel like she wasn't?
Sure, she was much taller than a rabbit, but that made her special. Didn't it? Something felt wrong, she couldn't quite put her finger on it...
...wait, what were fingers? Didn't she have paws? She looked at her paws. They didn't quite look like paws. Maybe she should get that checked at the Doctors. Wait, she meant vet, right? She was starting to get a headache. Maybe her owner would help with the situation?
And that's when it all clicked. She didn't have an owner. She wasn't a rabbit at all. She was human. She wasn't going to be human if this creepy owner was with her. She had to move, she had to find her friends. Maybe if she sped up, she'll stop it from happening. She had to take any risk she had. She hopped faster and faster.
"Laura, wait please".
A part of her slowed down but she fought against those feelings.
"Laura?"
Keep hopping.
"LAURA, WAIT!"
She hopped and hopped, trying to sniff out the peppermint odor of Sophie's fur.
