While Halloween was mostly celebrated in the West and Japan has only been recently been accepting it, the Chinese members of Animalia's community were able to get in on the fun as well. A good example would be the Five Elements. Since they were all double-dosed, they were able to enjoy the adult party at the Slaughterhouse.
"You think we can have Halloween over at the Asian colony?" asked Huoxing. She was dressed up like a Polynesian fire dance. One might mistake her for a hula dance, but there were some noticeable differences. Namely she was wearing brightly-colored shorts instead of a hula skirt and holding a fire dancer's staff. Though considering that she would be indoors most of the time, the staff had LED lights on the end. Though Huoxing did show an interest in learning fire-dancing.
"Probably only the Japanese side, and even then I wouldn't count on it," said Jinxing. Her costume was a rather skimpy cyborg outfit that had a lot less armor-plating than one would expect. It rather looked like something from a cheesy space opera.
"I still don't know how you talked me into going in this," said Muxing. Her costume was a wood nymph, which mainly consisted of a leaf-patterned mini-dress with flowers and vines in her hair.
"I've seen pictures of wood nymphs online," said Jinxing, "You should consider yourself lucky you have that dress. You could just be wearing three leaves."
"My costume isn't much better," said Shuixing. She was just wearing a red one-piece swimsuit and carrying a life preserver to make it clear she was supposed to be a lifeguard.
"I think you look nice," said Huoxing.
"Well, Nate also likes it," said Shuixing, "He says I look like I came straight out of Baywatch."
"What is Baywatch?" asked Muxing.
"I'm not really sure," said Shuixing, "I think it's a show about lifeguards."
"Girls, I need to be leaving soon," said Tuxing as she checked her watch. Her outfit was basically a mountaineer's outfit with a tank top and short shorts, along with the necessary gear on her belt. She was easy to mistake for Lara Croft, but Tuxing rolled with it. After all, wasn't archeology also earthy?
"What for?" asked Jinxing.
"I told Liao we'd be seeing the rest of Spookyville," said Tuxing.
"Well, as long as she left her sword-whip at home, I think she'll have fun," said Muxing.
