The kangaroo places you on a metal tray. You squirm and try to move around but your body isn't strong enough to do much of anything but lay there. She begins to press several buttons on the machine and you felt a strange tingling run through your body. As it did... There was a familiar sensation as the room around you suddenly seemed to grow larger. This time it was way more drastic though. You weren't getting younger like last time, after all there wasn't much younger you could get. You were just shrinking in size. You let out a squeak as you looked around. You had taken up almost the entire tray, now you were just sitting in a tiny piece of it.
Before you could react to anything else the kangaroo closed her hand around your body. She gently lifted you up into the air without hurting you.
"Hang on little guy." She muttered. Encased in her hand you couldn't see where she was carrying you, but a few moments later she opened her hand up. She was now leaning down on the ground and addressing the two mice you had seen on your crib. She passed you over into the arms of the mouse. You were just small enough for the female mouse to hold you with both arms. Without even thinking you clutched to bosom. Her fur was soft and warm, and being so small and naked it made you feel safe to rub up against it.
"Think he likes you." The male mouse spoke.
"Hey there, don't worry. We'll give you a very good home." The female spoke as she ruffled what little hair you had on your head. It wasn't hard for you to figure out what was going on. Your thoughts and emotions were a little scrambled... But you were still aware of certain things worked. You were being adopted. These were your new parents. You might have objected... But it wasn't as if you could take care of yourself right now.
For now for the first time since you had your accident with the fountain you felt safe. You continued to cling to the warmth of your new mother's fur. You soon drifted off to sleep, not even aware as they took you to your new home.
