“So how long are those two going to be like that,” Kellie asked as she watched Mary Elise and Karen jump on the bed. Katie smirked before looking at her friend. “Give it a moment.”
As the two watched the happy seven year olds jump they began to notice some changes. At first the two jumped happily, bouncing higher and higher on Kellies bed. Slowly but surely they noticed the two girls begin to slowl down as they curiously began to look around the room. As the two stopped bouncing they gazed at everyone, slightly confused as to what was going on.
“Were we just jumping on the bed,” Mary Elise asked. Karen nodded in response, looking first at her friend before turning to Katie and Kellie. “Yeah we were,” she said, a small smile spreading on her face. As the girl hopped off the bed she smiled before hugging Katie and Kellie. “That was fun I really thought I was seven and I had a blast.”
“Speak for yourself,” Mary Elise grumbled as she joined her friend. “I couldn’t remember anything and now I can’t find my slippers.”
Karen giggled as she noticed her friend try and cover her bare feet. “Oh cmon Mary you know we had fun,” she giggled. “And I can’t find my slippers either, admit it we had fun.”
Mary Elise paused, thinking back she had enjoyed playing with Karen even if it meant thinking she was only seven years old. The idea of her mind being messed with was somewhat off putting though but seeing that it was temporary and with her best friend it made it tolerable. “Okay maybe,” she relented. “But that doesn’t mean I want to do that on a regular basis. Now can we find our slippers please, I hate being barefoot.”
Karen laughed as she now tried to help her friend find her slippers. As they searched Kellie could only smile, her sleepover was going well and it appeared everyone was enjoying themselves. “Nice Katie,” she said. “But now it’s my turn.”
“So what spell are you going to cast,” Samantha asked. “You going to make us older? Younger?”
“Actually,” Kellie smirked. “This is something new. Merlin says My ring can actually allow me to travel through time, so I’m going to give it a try.”
Samantha and Katie gazed curiously at Kellie as she now tried to cast her spell. “I’m going to try to go into the past, maybe 30 seconds. Hopefully it works.”
As Kellie began to activate her spell she could see her friends gawking at her. While at first Kellie thought they were looking at her, she noticed them looking behind her. Before she could say anything a brilliant light enveloped her, temporarily blinding her.
As Kellie began to get her bearings she took in her surroundings. Kellie was now in the hallway that led to her bedroom. As she tried to focus she could hear voices emanating from her room. “Did it work,” she wondered. “Am I in the past cause that sounds like everyone.”
Slowly, carefully Kellie approached her bedroom door. As she opened it she poked her head inside, astounded by what she saw. Kellie watched as her last self talked with Katie and Samantha. Kellie had successfully traveled backwards in time to just before she activated her spell. Kellies last version of herself was explaining how she was going to travel into the past, just to see if she could. As Kellie stepped into her bedroom cautiously she noticed Katie and Samantha look behind past Kellie, gaping at the her. Before Kellie could say anything she watched as the past version of herself vanished in a brilliant white light.
“Kellie,” Katie and Samantha stammered. “Did...did you just go back in time?!?!”
Kellie stood in shock as she tried to take in what had just happened. She had time traveled and witnessed herself useing the spell for the very first time. What was even more astounding was her friends had witnessed what had happened and been privy to the fact this occurred. Kellie could only smile as she gazed at her friends. “Yeah, I think I did.”
Kellie smirked as her friends gazed at her in astonishment, her sleepover and the girls magical practice was going surprisingly well. Now the girls needed to decide what to do with the rest of the evening.
