Mary Elise, Karen, and Katie now approached their friend, excited an astounded by what they had seen. Kellie had traveled through time, they had seen it with their own eyes and now wanted to know what it was like. Kellie could only smile, in the past whenever she had performed a new spell it had only been Merlin who was present to congratulate her.
“Okay guys,” she smirked. “I appreciate all the congratulations but it wasn’t a big deal.”
“Yes it was,” Katie said excitedly. “I’ve never seen that before it was amazing.”
As the girls talked Kellie began to feel at ease, for a moment the girls seemed to forget that they were practicing magic and instead found themselves bonding like girls at a sleepover. For Kellie it was a happy memory she would treasure and one she wished to hold onto just a bit longer. Smirking devilishly she now turned towards her friends.
“Well we all got to practice with our magic,” she said. “So I guess it’s time we just enjoy the sleepover.”
“Aw,” Mary Elise groaned. “Do we have to I kind of wanted to practice some more.”
“Well,” Kellie smirked. “Why don’t you turn Lisa and Kumiko back to normal. Then you can practice on something else.” Mary Elise shrugged looking towards Lisa and Kumiko she now watched as the girls transformed from hybrid animal girls back to normal. Lisa watched as her ears and tongue shrank back to normal while Kumikos tail slowly retracted itself back into her body. Frowning the two girls anxiously approached Mary wondering why they had been transformed back to normal.
“Because,” Kellie said. “We need to do this.”
Grabbing a pillow Kellie swung it wildly, connecting playfully with Mary Elise, Lisa and Kumiko, knocking the three girls to the ground. Smiling the girls looked at the honey haired girl, a mischievious smile crossing their faces. “Oh you are so going to get it now,” Lisa giggled.
“Pillow Fight,” Kumiko yelled as she grabbed a pillow and swung it connecting with Katie’s head.
In no time the girls each had a pillow in hand as they laughed maniacally. The girls now frantically ran around the room, knocking over chairs and creating quite a ruckus as they engaged in the age old tradition of the pillow fight. Samantha swung her pillow connecting with Claudia who in turn swung her pillow, hitting Lisa dead in the face. Before long the seven girls were running around jumping up and down on the furniture as they swung their pillows with reckless abandon.
Merlin had been trying to concentrate on his work when he heard the noise emanating from Kellies bedroom. It sounded as if the girl was engaging in a castle siege as loud bangs echoed through the ceiling. Sighing in frustration he began to make his way upstairs, as he threw open the door he was witness to a group of first graders racing around the room. Fuzzy slippers seemed to sail through the air as pillows hit the disheveled looking girls with enough force to leave them concussed. “I thought I asked you keep the noise down,” Merlin stated.
Kellie grinned up at her father, her hair disheveled as she was red in the face from her recent activity. “We’re just playing dad,” she smiled, trying to catch her breath.
“So I see,” he muttered. “But I believe it is time for bed. Girls your age should get plenty of rest, besides it is past your bedtime.”
“But were not tired,” Kellie whined. “And besides, we can always make ourselves older.”
As Katie and Kellie now held up their rings Merlin waved is hand casually, causing them to fly off their fingers and land in his hand. “Hey no fair,” Kellie pouted.
“I will return these in the morning,” he stated. “When you are ready to act more mature.”
“But were still not tired,” Katie stated. “We May look seven but we don’t get tired like they do.”
Merlin rubbed his chin as an impis thought crossed his mind. As he waved his hand over the girls the began to feel drained from all their activity. “Hey what did you do,” Mika asked yawning.
“No fair a sleeping spell,” Kellie whined rubbing her eyes.
“Yes child,” he grinned as he watched the group of seven year olds becoming drowsier by the moment. “Little girls need plenty of rest now all of you get in bed.”
The girls tried to grumble in protest as they slowly made their way towards Kellies now King sized bed. As the group settled in they found the bed to not only be large enough to hold them all comfortably. “So comfy,” Lisa sighed as she settled her head onto a large pillow.
Merlin watched as the girls slowly one by one began to drift off to sleep. Kellie tried to fight it as she looked up at her father. “Guess we were a bit wild,” she whispered yawning. Merlin patted the girls head as her eyes slowly began to close. “It’s only natural,” he smiled. “Now get some rest. I’ll make sure that tomorrow I have a wonderful breakfast prepared for you and your friends.”
Kellie smiled dreamily as her eyes began to close. “Kay love you dad.”
Merlin paused as he gazed down at his daughter. “I love you too,” he whispered as the girl fell into a blissful slumber
