“Annie, wait!”
“What is it? *croak*”
Laura had to think. There was no way that she was going to let Annie go out there while they were all on the run. If one person even got a glance of her, she would be back with that old creepy owner in the Magic Shop. It would be all other the news, and as soon as they found Annie, they were next. She couldn’t let that happen. Not to Annie. Not to anyone. Laura needed something to make her stay. Justin didn’t have a pond, nor frogs, but there at least had to be something close to a pond here. There was no pool, and there was no telling what could happen to her if she went near. Something had to be here.
The bath.
Justin had a bath right next to his shower. That was it. It was perfect for her.
“Come with me, Annie. I know where you can relax and have some flies”
Annie just beamed with joy. “Really? *croak*”
She followed Laura into Justin’s average sized bathroom. She couldn’t see a pond, nor any flies. This has to be some sort of joke. Laura just focused as she put the plug in and turned on the water. For her, this was her only plan that she thought of. Annie just watched as she saw the water start to pour in. It looked refreshing and relaxing, so cool and clean, it was perfect. Absolutely perfect.
“It’s your own personal pond, Annie. This will be all yours. If you need friends, we’ll join you, or we’ll find some friends for you”
“Really? *croak* Laura, thank you so *croak* much! I finally *croak* have a place to call my own! *croak*”
Laura smiled and gave Annie a hug. While she was happy that Annie was staying, she knew that she had to explain to Justin why she was staying there, and why she was bringing other frogs inside. That was for another time though, she had to worry about her friends first.
“What about the flies?”
Laura slightly opened the window of the bathroom, enough that a fly could get in and that Annie couldn’t hop out. Already one fly was hovering around the room, but another fly was in the room with Annie. It was Laura. She started to change. She tried to remember that she was human but it was hard due to all the buzzing that was coming out of her mouth. She was still human sized, but that could change at any moment.
She hoped that Annie could let her remember that she was human.
