In the confusion and panic of the moment Laura increasingly lost her grip on her humanity as her surroundings grew and grew to what felt like the correct size for her.
Annie meanwhile was delighted to see two delicious flies floating around her head. In her excitement she hadn't realised one of them was her friend. She leaped up suddenly, snared one of the flying bugs and gulped it down with a contented croak. Fortunately, that fly wasn't Laura but she would be next on the menu if she didn't get moving quickly.
Downstairs Lucy, Sophie and Portia's morning was suddenly interrupted by a naked, soaking wet Annie bounding down the stairs in pursuit of a fly which was just about managing to stay out of her reach. Annie was close to catching Laura and make a frog's breakfast of her when an angry Sophie jumped in between them blocking her way. The fly buzzed out of the window and safely into the distance.
"Annie what are you *ook* doing you're soaking *eek* *ah* poor Justin's carpet?"
"Sorry I was just *croak* hungry" Annie hung her head in embarassment.
"Wasn't Laura supposed to be *ook* looking after you? Where is she?"
"I think she must have *croak* gone to the shop or something" Annie shrugged.
