Jared sighed into the breeze. She'd been a doe so long that it felt too normal. She was somehow sure this was a part of the magic, or she'd have gone insane by now. Even though these thoughts were so normal, she knew that they were wrong.
She had to be human again, she had to be Jared again.
It took only a few hours, but by dawn she was back at the old shack. It was strange, but she realized at that moment that she'd never been back since that night. She was almost surprised that it was still there. There was more vandalizm, more trash, but it was the same place she'd been in before as a human.
After making sure she was alone, she started looking for the spot that she buried the medallion and her old human sock. It took a few moments to reconnect herself to the memory, but after a little while she located the tree that she'd buried them next to and started digging.
