Colin wheeled the wraped up grill until it was in front of Donna and handed her the ribbon.
"Here you go!" Colin said with a forced smile in a nervous voice.
"Why thank you.... Colin!" Donna smiled back as the psycho Santa "warmly" smiled.
Donna yanked off the ribbon, tearing the paper loose and exposing her gift.
"Oh it's a grill! I love it!" Donna grinned.
"Can't wait to cook up somethin' great on this!"
Everyone awkwardly laughed as the two hugged. Colin faced away and took his chance to grimace in terror before smiling again.
"Okay, and here's a gift from my... my.... *sniff sniff* anyone else smell smoke?" Donna asked.
'Shit.' Colin thought as he saw a fire pouring out of the grill store and snake along the decorations of empty present boxes and organic holly as grey smoke filled the air.
"*cough* *cough* Oh my! The cookies! My wife's burnt the cookies!" the dellusional Santa cried out.
"Uhhhhh, yeah... the cookies..." Colin whisper-laughed.
Everyone ran like hell as soon as the tree caught fire and snapped under the heat. Coughs filled the air as everyone ran out of the mall, trying desperately to not be swallowed up in the flames, not wanting to join that one guy who got crushed by the tree. Colin grabbed a scuba tank with a mask and strabbed it on, finding a second wind that let him bolt out of the store as the flames roared behind him. With a dive and a roll he jumped through the front door, panting and wheezing.
"Well, that's one way to get out a Christmas Party..." Colin said as he dusted himself off.
