The purple slime frowned as he concentrated, or would have if Dylan had a face to frown with.
Oh no, you aren’t getting me, too! he thought, trying to press himself against the slime.
To his surprise, Dylan found it rather easy to slip through the gelatinous cube. Wiggling and jiggling, the two slowly separated. The clear cube escaped through a crack and left a puddle of purple goop behind.
It was all that was left of Dylan.
“Dylan!” the two exclaimed, both rushing over to their friend.
