Goodbye Katie

added by O 4 years ago AR I O

“Move,” Kellie screamed. Quickly the others left out of the way as Morgan’s spell raced towards them. Hearing the spell impact behind her Kellie looked around quickly breathing a sigh of relief. “Katie are you okay?”

“I’m fine mom,” Katie gasped. “But what’s going on?”

Before Kellie could answer an ear piercing scream pierced the air. Turning Kellies eyes went wide as she gazed in horror. “Katie No!!”

Teen Katie was suspended in the air her body appearing to be racked with pain. Sadly the girl looked at Kellie, a single tear rolling down her cheek. As Kellie watched she could see the girls face becoming softer, younger. “Kellie,” she whispered. “Help.”

Kellie could do nothing as Morgan’s spell took affect. Katie was racing backwards through time, seeming to collapse on itself as she grew younger. As the girl left her teens Kellie watched as Katie’s curves vanished as she became a child once more. Kellie could see her hands retract into her sleeves as she grew younger. Soon a girl of 10 seemed suspended in mid air. Still she grew younger.

Katie’s feet shrank out of her sneakers, which fell limply to the ground as she remained suspended in midair. Katie’s screams of pain grew shrilled and more childish as she aged backwards. By the time the girl became 6 once more Kellie could see her pant legs and sleeves hanging limply from where she was suspended. Tears fell from Kellies eyes as she saw the girls face grow younger. “Katie close your eyes it will be over soon,” she sobbed.

The 6 year old nodded, squeezing her eyes tightly shut as she continued to grow younger. Kellie watched as the girls face inches closer to toddlerhood. Any maturity in the girls face vanished as she became a preschooler with thin shoulder length blond hair. Kellie watched as the shirt Katie ballooned around her, the collar seeming to grow larger as she grew younger exposing one of her shoulders. Still she grew younger.

Kellie shed quiet tears as Katie inched backwards to infancy. Katie was no longer a toddler now and had been reduced to infancy now. The tiny blond girl seemed to have finally stopped crying as she passed one year of age and still grew younger. Kellie watched horror struck as the tiny infants head sank into the folds of her shirt and disappeared from sight. Kellie just shock her head as she stared at a small human shaped lump that barley pushed out her shirt now. This lump, much to everyone’s horror seemed to grow smaller and smaller before vanishing from sight. As Katie now vanished the others could only watch as Katie’s now empty clothing floated to the ground. The sound of the Ring of Age clattering on the cement was the only sound the seemed to permeate the eerie silence.

“Well now,” Morgan smirked. “Not the O’Toole I was hoping for but beggars can’t be choosers.”

“What did you do,” Katie whispered.

“Well Katherine,” Morgan smiled maliciously. “I’ve just unmade your mothers friend Katie. Guess even in two universes theirs only room for one of you.”

Kellie just stared heartbroken at the empty clothing in front of her. She has lost KAtie a second time now, this time though it was a Katie that wasn’t her daughter. This Katie was innocent, a girl who through no fault of her own had been given magic. It was a Katie, Kellie realized that she was beginning to fall in love with and now Morgan had taken that away. “Bitch,” she whispered, her rage and power building inside her.

“I told you Kellie I would eliminate Katie or Kellie,” she laughed. “I just never said which one.”

Katie now approached her heartbroken mother, feeling her shaking with sadness and anger. “Mom,” she whispered hugging the woman. “Mom, god...I’m....im sorry.”

Kellie said nothing as she gazed at the ground. She wanted vengeance and she realized she had the power to do that. Screaming in agony and anger she realized a power that knocked the others back as she stared angrily at Morgan LeFay, her eyes glowing a sickly white.

“Morgan,” she yelled. “You have taken the life of an innocent. You will take no others.”

Morgan LeFay smirked as she beckoned the woman forward. It had been far too long she had felt a challenge and if she pushed Kellie far enough...she could quite possibly destroy both timelines without lifting a finger.
