"What am I gonna tell my parents and friends and stuff?" the dragon asked.
"Easy: just text everyone saying that you are moving or something. Simple, right?" Shelly explained.
"Yeah, if my hands are big enough for the buttons!" he said as he sighed. "Your purse smells nice..."
"Thanks, I guess," she said while petting his head. "And you shouldn't have any trouble running a phone, though I don't think you can carry one. Hell, you can use a smartphone as a big screen TV!"
Shelly continued to pet him and he started to subconsciously purr.
"Aww, you're so cute!"
"I don't wanna be cute. I wanna be badass!" he complained, although he still continued to purr in delight.
"Face it, you were never badass. No amount of wizard magic could make you badass. But now you're cute, face the facts," she said.
"But wasn't I always cute?" he said pouting.
"Heh, no. You were always kinda ugly. Sorry to say," she said, still stroking him softly.
"...you're mean. Hold me," he said, extending him tiny arms for her to pick him up, which she did. They continued to walk back to her house.
Along the way, Shelly stopped and walked into a pet store. The little dragon looked around at all the animals. They almost seemed to sense his presence.
"What are we doing here?" he asked, as he clutched her arm tighter.
But Shelly ignored him. She stepped up to the counter.
