But the dragon couldn't sleep.
The mouse kept making annoying sounds at the bottom of the cage. Several hours passed, and the dragon realized he was very hungry. He looked at the mouse (he could see fine in the dark). But he reminded himself that he didn't want to eat that. More timed passed, and he became even hungrier.
About 20 minutes later, the mouse was nowhere to be found ...
... and the dragon no longer felt hungry.
I can't believe I did that, he thought. Although, it wasn't very bad at all. I still think a steak would be better.
"Wait a second..." he said out loud. The dragon looked at the cage door, and then at his hands. "I've still got thumbs!"
Soon, the dragon was outside of the cage, trying to decide what he should do.
