Joe was scared. It was clear he was way, way out of his depth here. The nice old man was actually a sorceror of terrifying power, and he had the insurance company, represented by that really unsympathetic investigator, on his case as well. And if Frank Lidle returned to humanity, and knew who had tried to make him into an animal, that wouldn't be good either. And if Dusty knew what he had done she had the material for a slam-dunk sexual discrimination suit. He could flee, but he had a feeling that both the wizard and the company would be able to track him down anywhere.
Maybe there was someone else he could ask for help. . .

Penta was seriously freaking the Wizard out. The Wizard was a voyeur who had no interest in participating in a romantic relationship himself. (In fact, he was a virgin, something he had no interest in anyone knowing.) He transformed men into hot nymphos so he could observe them not because he wanted them for himself. What he supposed to do now that there was somebody who actually wanted him?

Jenny had some idea what Eric Grimes had been talking about, and noticed that Joe was really bothered. Presumably, it had something to do with the transformations. She was determined that Dusty would receive proper recompense, not because Jenny thought of the money as something that would benefit her as Dusty's wife, but because Dusty deserved it. She would be sure to mention this to the lawyer she had hired.
