It was hours before Lian woke back up. But it didn't take more than a few seconds to realize it had been no dream.
She really was this... creature.
Lian shuffled and staggered as she stood up, wandering to her bedroom mirror as she did. The reflection she caught looked almost normal from the front. The only indication she had changed at all was the horns growing out of her head and her now pointed ears. She looked like a cross between a girl and one of those dragon sculptures her grandfather collected.
Maybe her friend had been right...
Maybe they weren't called 'Dragon' kebabs because they were spicy...
Maybe they were made of some strange exotic meat...
