Fear. It was an emotion Merlin had not felt in a millenium, yet when his daughter ventured to the alternate timeline to help her daughter, it gripped him like a vice.
Kellie couldn't refuse not to help when she learned Morgan LeFay was trying to do to Katie and Kellie what she herself had done a decade ago. Despite only beginning to recover from her recent trip to visit Katie and her friends. As he now approached tje large group gathered he felt slightly paniced as he gazed at the wanton destruction.
"Kellie," he called, trying to calm the panic in his voice. Slowly he saw a woman in her 40s turn to him and smile. "Hey dad," she smiled. "About time you showed up."
Merlin could only gaze at the smirking woman before embracing her in a tight hug. "Always the comedian," he sighed. "I am pleased you appear to be well though." As he now looked for the scene he could see to adult women curiously gazing at him, two women he immediate recognized as Ann and Lisa. "Kellie I believe an introduction is in order."
"Okay Merlin," Kellie said. "Ann, Lisa, this is Merlin. My um...dad."
"Wait what," they questioned.
"Long story," Kellie chuckled. "Lets just say that after getting kicked out of my timeline, my pops here brought me back and pretty much raised me."
Lisa and Ann stared numbly at the ancient wizard before smiling and hugging the ancient wizard. "Thanks for taking care of our big sister," they whispered.
A small smirk etched itself on Merlins face before he turned to see the other Katie and Kellie glancing down at a small newborn wrapped in the tattered remnants of a dress. Kellie could see the look of concern cross her father's face as he gazed at the newborn.
"Yeah that happened," Kellie sighed. "Morgan attacked all of us with a spell. We were able to reflect it back at her. It resulted in her becoming an infant."
"Impressive," he said stoically, rubbing his chin. "It appears her arrogance finally has led to her downfall. I must say Kellie, I am impressed with how you were able to handle yourself."
Kellie blushed, thanking her father before glancing towards her daughter Katie amd her fiance. "So is it over," she questioned. "Have we stopped her?"
A bemused smile crossed Merlins face as he felt temporal magic begin to manifest itself near them. "I believe so," he smiled. "And I believe we are about to meet your future granddaughter."
Katie and Kellie were still gazing down at their infant daughter when they saw a portal begin to open. While at first alarmed, they were relieved when they saw Lynne, Tricia, and Tommy emerge. What surprised them though was the meek looking blond teen hiding behind the trio. "Lynne what are you doing here?"
Lynne frowned as she gazed at her older sister. One of the drawbacks of her abilities was she remembered the various timelines even if things were altered. Considering a massive alteration had just taken place, she knew she needed to visit her sisters in the past.
"Was going to ask you the same thing sis," she grumbled. "You just changed up history big time. Dont worry everything is cool but needed to come see you."
Katie and Kellie breathed a sigh of relief as they now looked at the young blond teen who appeared to duck behind Lynne. "So who is that with you?"
"That," Lynne said. "Is my niece, which is really weird considering she's like a month older than I am. Cmon Morgan come say hello."
Katie and Kellie gaped as a pretty young teen with crystal blue eyes slowly stepped forward. "Hi," the girl said quietly.
"Wait," Katie said, looking between the infant in her arms and the teen standing before her. "Are, are you Morgan?"
Morgan modded shyly as she continued to stare at the ground. Lynne groaned in annoyance as she now nudged the girl forward. "Cmon Morgan," she groaned. "Your the one that wanted to come along so say something."
The shy teen just stood before Katir and Kellie, unable to come up with anything to say. It was finally Krllie that stepped towards the girl. "Whats your name sweety," she asked warmly.
"Morgan O'Toole Carlson," she said quietly. "Im..im your daughter. And I guess I used to be Morgan LeFay. Im...so so sorry for all the problems I caused mom, can you forgive me?"
Katie and Kellie gaped at the quiet girl before embracing her in a tight hug. "Of course," they cried, their eyes dampening. "We just want you to be happy. I really hope you've grown up happy."
"Yeah," Morgan sniffed. "I've always been loved mom. You always made me feel special. Im...im just so sorry for anything bad I ever did. Can you forgive me?"
"Morgan's a bit of a mommys girl," Lynne sighed. "We grew up together and she was always little miss perfect. Its a bit of a pain in the ass when everyone says why cant you behave like Morgan. Thats why we wanted to come back, so I could show little miss perfect she wasnt always so...well perfect."
Katie frowned at her little sister before smirking. "Kind of petty sis," she smirked. "But to be honest I couldnt be happier to see all of you again. Just remind me to give you a sisterly beatdown when you get back for picking on my daughter."
Lynne snorted before looking at Katie, Kellie and the teen Morgan. While her and Morgan were polar opposites, they loved eachother like sisters, Lynne just couldnt help poking fun at her slightly geeky and polite niece. Giving the blond teen a tight hug she smiled at the girl. "Well your the one that wanted to find out about your past," she said. "Talk with your moms but make it quick, we don't want to get stuck here."
"Thanks Lynne," Morgan sniffed as she tearfully looked at her mothers.
Adult Kellie, Merlin, Lisa and Ann had watched this exchange take place in complete astonishment. "Wow I guess she turned out okay," Kellie said quietly. Merlin nodded, while concerned about his arch nemesis it appeared Katie and Kellie did raise Morgan well. "It appears so," he said. "Still, I plan on watching her carefully. For now though we should probably return home."
Kellie nodded as she turned towards Ann and Lisa. "Do you have to go already," Ann and Lisa asked sadly. "Yeah," Kellie said. "I can only stay in this timeline for so long. I feel exhausted and I need to go and regain my strength."
"I hope to see you soon sis," Lisa said, hugging her. "You should definitely come to the baby shower in a couple weeks."
"Are you sure Lisa," Ann said cautiously. "I mean mom is going to be there. You know she'll flip if she finds out Kellies alive."
Merlin gazed at the sisters curiously as he saw a loom of fear cross their faces. "I must be missing something," he said. "This woman is your mother. Why do you three look so nervous?"
"Trust me dad," Kellie smirked. "Id rather fight a thousand Morgan LeFays than get yelled at by Marilyn O'Toole."
The sisters laughed quietly as they now promised to meet up again soon. As Kellie and her friends bid farewell they promised to see eachother again soon. Morgan LeFay may be gone but there were still many adventures to come.
