Kellie, Jackie, and Ann looked through the beach to see who two change age. Ann soon turned to the end of the beach and noticed something in the distance. She pointed to what she saw and said to the two, “Hey! What about those two down there?”
Both Kellie and Jackie heard her and turned to what she’s pointing at. That’s when they saw two people in opposite ages. The first one is an elderly woman of eighty with a frail looking body, deflated breasts, and silvery white stringy hair, wearing a one-piece black swimsuit with floral designs and an oversized sunhat. The other is a really young 4-year-old little girl with little baby fat and a small paunch on her stomach, a mess of freckles all over her face, cartoonish red hair done up in small pigtails, and was wearing a light blue swimsuit with a pink frilly skirt that shows off her bathing bottom, straps over the shoulders, and Hawaiian fruit on it. The girl running around in the wet sand as the small waves hit her tiny feet while the elder woman was sitting on the beach chair, sleeping the day away.
Kellie looked to the two and remembered who they were. “Hang on… I know those two.” she said in realization.
Ann and Jackie turned to her and said in unison, “You do?”
Kellie turned to them and nodded, explaining who they are. “That Penelope and her granddaughter, Heather. Penelope lives in the old folks home close to where I use to work and spends the week looking after heather, considering she’s not ready to go to preschool just yet. Looks like Heather wanted to go to the beach to have some fun.”
Jackie heard that and turned to see Penelope snoring while Heather runs around the wet sand and through the tiny waves. She soon looked around and noticed that there was no one of Heather’s or Penelope ages around and gave a sigh. “Well,” she started to speak, “They seem to be the only two on the beach that don’t have anyone around their ages. If only Heather has some friends to play with.”
“Or Penelope has company of her own.” Ann said back, “Maybe deserve each other’s company differently, if that’s the case. Those two deserve better.”
Kellie heard the two and gave it some thought. She knew Penelope when she visits the retirement home on a few occasions for court cases and young Heather is always there playing around be that in her room or at the break room. To be fair, Heather never had much friends considering that she isn’t ready for preschool yet and her family was very fickle in leaving her with strangers. Seeing the two, she started to smirk and said, “You’re right. They do deserve better.”
She looked to the ring on her finger and decided to give the two something special. Jackie and Ann saw her with the ring and knew what she is going to do. “You’re going to change their ages, are you?” Jackie asked.
Kellie turned to the two and told them to watch. “Just sit back and enjoy the show.” So she closed her eyes and started to make her wish. But what is her wish?
