Joanna continued to work and went straight to the nearest restroom to wash the green liquid off her hand. There she made shocking discovery: her hand had changed. Her entire hand up to her wrist was covered in snake scales and her nails had grown in a way that reminded her of claws. There was no sign of the cut from the broken glass. Not much of the liquid was left on her hand, having apparently been absorbed by her skin. She tried to wash off what remained, but it clung to her skin like sticky oil and all she seemed to accomplish was getting some on her other hand. Looking in the mirror, Joanna noticed her eyes looked different. Her mouth felt strange and opening it revealed sharper teeth. She stuck out her tongue to find it longer and forked at the end. What was the stuff in that vial doing to her? Yet strange as these changes were, she felt no pain or discomfort.
