When Mark had laughed enough about Aidans tries to spell anything right he looked for his next target to change. He decided on a mobile to dangle above the playpen. Instead of stars or something similar he choose there to be the actual objects he would change for this, only turned into plastic and therefore useless.
The few objects he needed were chosen fast. Aidans phone, his key-chain, his backpack, a couple of different paintbrushes and an old talisman would dangle on it. Mark took a plate from the kitchen for the hanger, position each object around it. Then he changed them.
Aidan took his attention back to Marks doings with his stuff and did not like his choice of things. Mark had taken his old talisman, that was a family heirloom in form of a ball with feathers, and his phone from his backpack. His key-chain, one of his first self-made art pieces together with his keys, and the backpack itself was a present from his grandfather before he died. The paintbrushes themselves were not so important as was the meaning of them. They were a way for Aidan to express his passion in art.
He watched the plate turn into a wooden circle, loosing the inner parts. From the wooden ring grow thin wires over to the eight objects laying around it. His backpack shrunk in size while the key-chain was reduced in length, making each object around the same size. The backpack had sealed itself shut before it gained a plastic sheen, the wire winding around the hanger on top of it. The talisman
and the keys grew stiffer when they turned plastic, making the separate parts immobile to each other. Both gained a small hanger for the wire to hold it up. His phone had gained one on his antenna, being an older model. While these four objects had kept there color scheme the paintbrushes placed between them turned in color, each one different. Between the phone and the talisman was a blue one, next to the talisman was a green one before the backpack separated it from the red one. Lastly between the key-chain and the phone was a yellow brush.
When all had changed the mobile levitated over to the playpen, were a pole from one side grew up to fix it in position above Aidans pillows. He didnīt believe how much he had cried since that whole ordeal began when he again shed tears.
Mark then decided to show Aidan what his new mobile could do. Each object made another sound when touched, letting them jingle a small melody all together. Also each object could act like a night light for the baby, giving off a soft glow.
