"What, are you afraid of me now?" Ting sniffles.
"Stop trying to trick me, or whatever it is that you're doing! Just tell me what this deep dark secret of the fairy's is before I freak out!"
"If you insist," Ting sighs. "The secret of the fairies is that our magic is tied to our grove. I told you that you would die if you left to make you stay. I couldn't find a good husband anywhere in this tiny, dying village, so I found you. You were so willing to become something new, it was easy for me to change you. Others I tried to entice and force, but it was all to no avail. But your mind; it was open. Please don't leave!" says Ting as she again gazes up at you with her puppy dog eyes.
