Suddenly, Dave's torso turned into the shirt and suit jacket. Jase said, "Whoa" as he caught Dave's head keeping it from falling to the floor. "Why did you change just your torso."
Dave said, "No one has full control over their transformations."
Scientists speculated that humans evolved the ability to transform for survival. It increases ones chance of survival if one is able to temporarily become a rock. After millions of years, some people have evolved very sophisticated transformation abilities but it is still not like being true shapeshifters. It is still partially a reflex triggered by endorphins. That is, transformations can be triggered by pain, surprise, intimidation, or suspense. Those who have developed better than average skills of transformation are those who have learned how to trigger their own endorphins.
Jase grapped the shirt and suit jacket, walked into the bathroom and started putting them on. "Might as well wear you. Why don't you transform all the way?"
Dave tried to turn human again but couldn't, partly because Jase had his torso but mostly because Dave was experiencing an endorphin rush. Dave felt powerless in Jase's presence and that meant that Dave felt the urge to turn into clothing whenever Jase was around. The more intimidating Jase acted, the more irresistible was Dave's urge to be clothing.
Dave said, "I'm in counseling trying to become more assertive. You can't just wear me whenever you want."
Jase stripped Dave naked. Dave couldn't stop it when his hands were now the cuffs of Jase's shirt. Jase said, "Come off it. You know you want to be worn by me. You become such a nice suit, worth thousands."
Dave said, "Yea it's fun to be your suit occasionally but I'm tired of you just walking in and putting me on. I'm also tired of you leaving my clothes in a pile. When you're done with me, I have to figure out how to get back to my clothes and often they've been picked up by the janitor."
Jase said, "Alright, I'll take your clothes with me. Now finish transforming."
Dave sighed and tried to finish the transformation but couldn't. His legs turned black like fabric. His head turned red like the tie it would become but his legs and head retained their shape.
Dave said, "Fuck, I had spicy food for lunch. It's preventing me from a complete transformation."
Jase said, "Whatever, let's get to the photo shoot." Jase put Dave's head on Dave's legs. He was cloth-like enough that Jase was able to attach Dave's head using Dave's shoelaces. Then Jase gathered the rest of Dave's clothes and left the bathroom.
