"Bye, bye, Richie!" Jeff says as a dazed Richie sits up regaining consciousness.
"Hey, what happened? How didcha grrrrrr? WOoF! WOOF! Woof, woof!" Richie says as he begins to shrink and grow furry.
"You been a bad puppy, Richie, but a few weeks in Janet Beekman's Obedience School will do wonders for you."
Richie whimpers and there's a knock at Jeff's door. A female voice calls out, "Are you decent, Richie?"
Opening the door a crack, Jeff leans out, "Richie decent? Hi, I'm Jeff, Richie's brother, he had to step out for a few minutes."
"Oh, I'm Janet Beekman, pleased to meet you. Richie invited me and Bess Collins in out of the rain," Janet says extending her hand. Richie was a twerp, but his brother is hot, she thinks, as she licks her lips to check on her lipstick.
"The Janet Beekman who owns the obedience school that advertises in the College News?"
"The same."
"But you're so young! I may have a candidate for your school."
"Ha! Thanks, I majored in bio, started my company and am now taking a masters in business administration."
"Cool, I'm in the Business School too."
"But Max seemed pretty well trained to me, so if you're talking about him, I don't think..."
"Not Max, it's er-Fido," said Jeff opening the door to reveal a puppy tearing at a pile of clothing.
"A puppy! OOooh!" says Janet dropping to her knees. Jeff notices that Richie's clothing is scattered in front of her.
"My brother the slob, and Fido the terror. What a pair! Richie changed into dry clothes and slicker and took Max back out, but he left his wet clothes on the floor for Fido to play with. I'm not sure who needs training more?" Jeff joked as Richie cuddled to Janet's bosom. Instantly, Richie begins to urinate.
"Fido? You really named him Fido?" asks Janet with a raised eyebrow.
"What's wrong with Fido? It means "loyal" in Latin, and everyone wants a loyal and obedient dog, don't they?"
"Hehe, well, he is cute, and he definitely does need training. If you want to bring him by the school tonight, I can get him enrolled, and return your brother's sweats. It sounds like the rain is letting up, as suddenly as it began."
"Maybe I could take you to coffee afterward," Jeff suggests.
"Maybe?" answers Janet non-committally. "C'mon, Bess let's get going, the rain stopped."
"Where's Max?" Bess asks, "I wanna say goodbye to him."
"I'll give him your regards," Jeff answered.
"Who are you?" Bess asks. She'd been in the bathroom.
"He's Richie's big brother, and this little puppy is called "Fido!" haha," Janet explained.
"Hey, Jeff, if you want to board him with the school, I can take him now, and get him started paper training" Janet offers, "And then these evening we can go to dinner, maybe?"
"Dinner it is! 7pm?"
"Make it 8pm, bye."
