Jeff agreed to play basketball but something nagged him. He was a toy. He'd been a toy all his life, as far as he knew. He wasn't supposed to play basketball. He was supposed to be played with. His memories had been altered but he remembered going along acting like a human. Somehow he had been born to human parents but when he tried to remember how people reacted to a human couple giving birth to a doll, the memories were confusing and vague. Jeff couldn't understand why he had lived like a human all this time when he clearly wasn't one.
Jeff decided it was time to change that. He needed to be a toy. When Steve arrived, Jeff explained this and asked Steve, "Will you play with me?"
Steve said, "I'm too old to play with dolls."
Jeff said, "Give me to your little sister or little brother than."
Steve said, "No, listen Jeff, you're my best friend. I can't just give you away. I just don't know what to do with a life-sized doll. I've seen my little sister play with her dolls. She pretends her dolls are sick and she takes care of them or she pretends her dolls are dressing up for the ball. My little brother pretends battles with his action figures. What should I do?"
