“Katie? Gloria? What’s going on?,”
Katie and Gloria too see a very confused and very uncomfortable Samantha standing before them. Unlike the others at the party the pregnant college girl did not appear to be getting younger. She did though look to be in quite a bit of discomfort.
“Sammy are you okay,” Katie asked, seeing her friend wince. Samantha nodded as she once again grasped her stomach. “Well I’m not getting any younger so I guess,” she groaned. “But Tricia here is going nuts. I’ve never felt her move like this before.”
Katie and Gloria looked at each other, a look of concern on their faces as they gazed at Samantha. “Okay Sammy just take a deep breath and tell us what happened.”
“Okay,” Samantha sighed. “I was just talking with Mary, Claudia and Mika when all of the sudden I got real lightheaded. When I turned back toward them I noticed they were barely old enough to be in high school and still growing younger. What was even weirder is that they didn’t even notice anything was wrong, everything seemed perfectly normal to them.”
“Why didn’t Sammy change with them,” Gloria asked.
Katie rubbed her chin thoughtfully as she looked at her friend. As she was thinking Samantha once again let out a grunt of pain, holding her stomach. “Ugh was it something I ate,”she groaned, sinking onto the couch. “She’s never done anything like this before.”
“She’s protecting you Sammy,” Katie whispered. “She’s keeping the magic from affecting you, and her.”
Samantha gasped as she looked down at her stomach, once again feeling her unborn daughter thrash inside her womb. “Whoa she can do that,” she exclaimed in surprise. “Well it makes sense,” Katie shrugged. “I mean when we met her she was pretty powerful. Guess this next generation is going to be quite the handful.”
Samantha winced in pain as she now grasped in stomach once again. “Yeah if I make it,” she grunted. “Katie I’ve never felt anything like this. I’m, I’m worried something could happen to her. Can you try and fix this? Feels like a knife is in my gut.”
Katie turned back towards Gloria and her mother giving them a concerned look. “Look we need to figure this out and quick,” she stated. “And someone should stay with Sammy just in case. I’m a little worried about her.”
“I’ll stay with her,” Kellie said. Katie looked at her fiancé, thanking her and giving her a quick peck on the cheek before turning towards her family. “Okay we all need to talk now,” she said. As they were about to walk into the study they saw now college age Kumiko and Maddie Haskins approach them. “Ms. Turner,”Kumik groaned. “Can you help us out please? The kids are running wild right now.”
Lisa looked past her friend to see Claudia, Mika, and Mary Elise running quickly through the living room. The three former college women were now merely 6 year olds dressed only in long shirts. The children happily ran through the house, causing chaos as they were pursued by a now 19 year old Missy and 22 year old Maddie. The two college age women were desperately trying to catch the energetic first graders as they attempted to hike their now loosening clothes to their bodies. As they watched what was occurring they could clearly notice everyone was still growing younger. Lisa now looked at her friend, noticing Kumiko was still growing younger as well. Now she appeared closer to high school age than college.
“Umm I’m a bit busy right now Kumi,” Lisa stammered. “But maybe Kellie can help you out.”
“Any help would be appreciated,” Kumiko sighed, “I knew I should of left Mika at home. When I was her age no way I would of acted like that.”
“Guess were going find out if that’s true in a moment,” Lisa muttered. Taking a deep breath she now turned towards Kellie and Samantha. “Girls I need you to help them out with the kids,” she said. “Try to find something for them to do.”
“Okay Lisa,” Kellie nodded. “I’ll do my best but what about Sammy? She can barely walk right now.”
“I’ll manage,” Samantha grunted as she slowly got to her feet. “Just try to make this quick okay. Really don’t feel like chasing a bunch of preschoolers around the house.”
As Kellie and Samantha now went to assist the rapidly regressing girls chase a group of preschoolers, Lisa turned towards her family. “Mom, Ann, Kellie,” she sighed. “Obviously we have a lot to talk about. Let’s get i the study, talk things out and do it quickly before the kids trash my house.”
The O’Toole and Turner girls all nodded as they went to talk things through. Hopefully Marilyn and her daughters could work things out before Lisa shower turned into a literal baby shower.
