Lisa, Ann, Adult Kellie, and Marilyn were all now in Lisa's study and they were going to try and talk things out without yelling at one another.
"Now, let me get this straight," Lisa said looking over at Adult Kellie. "You did die here before?" Lisa asked her.
"Correct. But I was reborn in another reality or timeline." Adult Kellie explained to her mother.
"Now you two had already known about her for a while, you said?" Marilyn raised an eyebrow at her other daughters.
"Yes, mother. And quite frankly it was a big surprise, but we needed some good news after...well, I don't want to get into it because it would be a very long and complicated story, but the short version is: there is good and bad magic in the world and just lately thanks to some good magic, it was able to overcome the bad magic. If that makes any sense." Lisa tried to explain without going into full details.
"I...think I understand...somewhat. But back to you," Marilyn said looking back at Adult Kellie. "You're still the same Kellie with the memories from before...well, you know." Marilyn asked her.
"Yes mom, and listen to me right now. Katie and the other Kellie are both grown women and can make their own decisions. Lisa and Ann can help them, but so can you, that is if they ask for it." Adult Kellie said to her mother.
"Ann?! I can understand Lisa, but Ann, really? Where was she all those years when Lisa needed her help?" Marilyn said looking at Ann.
"Mom, I know you feel like I haven't been the good aunt to Katie that I should have been and I hate to admit it, but you are right." Ann said.
"I...I am? You're....agreeing with me on this?" Marilyn asked, shocked by her own daughter.
"Yes. These last couple of months, I've been trying to be both a better sister, and a better aunt to Katie. I've...uh, I've also been trying to be a good girlfriend." Ann admitted slightly blushing.
"What?! You're dating someone? Who is it?" Marilyn asked now interested.
"Well, I won't tell you exactly who it is, but I can tell you this: she is a very wonderful person." Ann said.
"She? You're dating a woman? You're...you're bisexual?" Marilyn asked surprised.
"Yes mom. I am and she makes me feel happier than I've felt in years." Ann said taking in a deep breath and a smile.
Marilyn was very silent for a moment before her daughter noticed she was beginning to cry a little bit.
"I'm....I'm so sorry for all of this, girls. I only act like this because You've all grown up so fast before my eyes and I just don't want any of you to forget about me. Even if I may argue with you all, it's just because I'm looking out for your well beings. I'm sorry, can you forgive me for being such a dumb mom?" Marilyn asked.
"Oh, mom. You're not a dumb mom." Lisa said.
"You're just a mom, who's tried to keep her family together for a long time." Ann said.
"And really it's because of girls like Katie and Gloria that we were all able to come back together as a family. We still love you mom." Adult Kellie said as the four of them now got into a group hug.
Now that Marilyn and her daughters had worked things out, perhaps things could work out with the others guests at the baby shower as well.
