"Transfo-!"
"Ah, seems the minute's up, Jen," Kyle interrupted.
"-rm... Well, haha, it's not like the curse is real anyway!" Jen said, trying in vain to cover up her nervousness.
"We'll soon see about that, Jennifer. Now, for your transformation, let's see.... ah, yes. You're going to love this, Jen," Kyle said sarcastically.
"Oh, sure, asshole. Get on with your stupid curse."
"Harsh language!" Kyle feigned surprise. "Well, we've both days to prepare for, so I'll get on with it. A part of you, determined at random by the curse, will slowly grow. You won't notice it immediately, no. Maybe in a few days you'll wonder why your left arm feels heavier, or it's slightly harder to fit your shirts over your head, or that you're slightly taller. It could be your left arm, or both arms, or an arm and a leg. It could be your ears, or your eyes, or even an internal organ! The entire left half of your body, or maybe the bottom half, only to curse knows."
"Seriously? This is a shitty prank, dude," Jen said, failing once again to hide her anxiety.
"I can tell you're scared, Jen. It's quite obvious. Now, you won't be scared soon, just... confused. Then scared, and you'll be scared for a while, since I'll also be nice to you for the final part of your transformation; you'll be immortal, unable to be harmed, so whatever body part or parts the curse decides to have grow will keep growing forever. You also won't age after today. You'll also be scared for another reason, since for your dare, I dare you to forget completely and wholly about the curse. You won't remember this phone call, being cursed, even that the curse exists, and I dare you to never figure it out. I dare you to forget immediately if anyone mentions the town curse near you, or explains it to you, or anything. Have a good life, Jennifer!"

Kyle hung up. Jen stood there, mouth agape, anxious for what she just heard. Suddenly, though, she wasn't.
"Why am I holding the phone?" she said, having completely forgotten about the curse. She continued to get ready, and had a small breakfast. Her day continued as normal, completely unaware of what was in store for her...
