Jen brought you back to her house. As a dog, your favorite part was the car ride! You followed Jen into her house.
"Good evening Jen!" her mom called out from inside. "And who do we have here?" she asked, gestering towards you.
"I found him as a stray, wandering around the fair. Can I keep him?" asked Jen, jokingly.
"Very funny. He kinda looks like that boy you kept telling me you had a crush on. What was his name? Tommy? Bobby? That's right, it was Bill," said Jen's mom. "What on earth did you do to him?"
"It wasn't me; I swear!" said Jen. "It was that awful bully, Dan. There's this photobooth that can paint you for a photo. Dan tricked him into it and set it to turn Billy into a dog! There's even a collar that makes him feel and think like he's a real dog. That's why he's acting like that. I can't let him go home like this, he would die of embarrassment when he came to his senses. Can he spend the night with me? I think he's had enough surprises for one day!"
"Well you make a good point, but I'm nervous about a boy sleeping in your room," said Jen's mom. "I don't generally trust boys I've never met to sleep in the same room with my daughter!"
"Mom look at him! Watch this." In her pocket, she pushed the orange button. "Billy, sit. Lie down." Obligingly, you complied. "Roll over." Happily, you rolled over and sat up, panting. "See mom, he's not a sex-crazed boy; he thinks he's a dog. I just want to be there for him when he wakes up and realizes what has happened to him."
"Well alright, but at least find some decent shorts for him to wear. That Speedo costume thing barely counts as clothing. Check your brother's closet; he's out at a sleepover tonight so you don't have to worry about him seeing your new.... pet."
