After weeks of fighting with Andrew without any progress being made Jeff began to realize an issue.
As the two queens fought the colony was now in a worse state than it started.
Jeff looked around her queen chamber. With the war between the two queens she had neglected her young. She made so many warriors that there were virtually no more builders or caretakers left. The colony was a reck. And what’s worse, she knew Andrew’s was in a similar state in order to keep up with her.
Jeff moved over to the Chronivac, dragging her massive abdomen along the dirt, casually laying more warriors without even noticing anymore.
She reached her hand over the console and began to type. She saw the state of both her’s and Andrew’s colonies on the screen.
They were practically in ruins, warriors were trapped with no way of escaping, ants trapped in chaimbers with nothing to do but fight.
Jeff put her head in her hands and started to weep. This war had gone on long enough. There was only one thing left to do. She had to do it, for the good of both colonies, even if she didn’t like it, it was the right thing to do.
Jeff closed the observation program, and got to work editing both her’s and Andrew’s queen profiles at the same time. If this worked out the colonies would be stronger than before, if it didn’t. Jeff wouldn’t know what to do.
Once finish she teleported herself and Andrew to a chamber in between there two colonies that was sealed of in an effort by both sides to prevent access back when they both had workers.
Andrew and Jeff just stared eachother down. The two human like ant queens who had been fighting for weeks. The only two of there kind with the lower half of a queen, and the upper half of a very beautiful human looking ant. And they were technically sisters.
“We both know this war can not continue any longer sister.” Jeff said matter of factly raising to her full hight.
“And what do you propose sister. ‘Piece!?’”Andrew made quotation marks with her fingers “And we forget the thousands of my children your’s have slaughtered!”
Jeff held back the retort about them being her young to.
“No.” Jeff states holding out a segmented hand. “A third option. Merge with me and together we make a new colony.”
For the first time since becoming queen Andrew was hesitant. She clicked her legs together thinking, dragging her abdomen in the dirt much like Jeff herself did in between long periods of egg making. Like her Andrew obviously saw no other options than the one infront of her.
Finally Andrew stopped pacing. “Will we...” She was almost afraid to ask “Still remember... before?”
Jeff nodded “Of course. Wouldn’t be much of a point if we didn’t.”
Andrew rubber her chitin shoulders, and Jeff tried to ignore how they bounced up and down when she did that, dispite them supposed to be a solid breast plate.
“Ev-ev-even out there?” Andrew managed to stutter out before pointing a red segmented finger to the glass that lead into Jeff’s old bedroom.
There were times Jeff herself even forgot about it. It seamed like so long ago, dust had even started to form on many of her old things. Even though it was only weeks ago it seamed like another life. And perhaps now it would be.
Jeff nodded and looked deep into her rival sisters eyes. “Yes.” She said “‘even out there.’”
“Alright.” Andrew agreed. “For the good of the colonies.” Andrew locked segmented hands with Jeff.
“No” Jeff said “For the good of the COLONY.”
Jeff then locked lips with Andrew.
The two human like ant queens began making out in the chamber sealed off from there kids. There segmented hands going wild over eachothers bodies. They started humping abdomens in no time.
There exoskeletons merge, it became harder to tell who’s on top and who’s on the bottom. Till they both merge exoskeletons and become a large white egg bigger than both.
The egg was massive by ant standards. Taking up almost the entire sealed chamber and being the size of a pencil erasers plus the metal part too.
The egg sat immobile for two full days before suddenly it cracked.
Out came a new queen fully grown. Neither Andrew nor Jeff. Yet still both of them together. She had all there memories and knew exactly how to use the Chronivac in case of emergency. She had all the best traits of both, Jeff made sure of it.
She was all white, like the egg she came from. Her abdomen was the size of both the former queens put together (and it technically still was if she remembered her own conception well enough.) Coming up from the hips was a tall sleander white ant woman. With four segmented white human like arms coming from her human torso. She had four breasts, (though the ones on top were noticeably bigger.) Jeff and Andrew’s beautiful queen ant faces had merged as well as there minds. She had perfect long straight blond hair streaming down her back to a pair of shimmering rainbow colored wings. Her long white antani almost hit the top of the chamber. The new queen’s face was beautiful white and mature, with one yellow and one black eye that she inherited from her mothers.
In essence, the new ant queen was there daughter. And she knew it, and loved both her mothers for giving her life.
(Even if she knew Andrew “totally” started it.)
The new queen chuckled to herself.
Enough reminiscing about past lives.
The Chronivac teleported into the same sealed chamber as the new queen recognizing its new owner. If Jeff did his job right, the new queen wouldn’t need it though.
She was a queen, and she had a job to do.
The new queen...
