The dwarven made alarm on the nightstand rang out. Vect reached over and pressed the off rune silencing the bell.
He pulled the blankets off him and slowly slid out of Sara's arms, careful not to wake her. 'Let her sleep a little longer,' he thought as he got up, the slightly cool air causing his nude body to shiver involuntarily. He stretched, feeling energized strangely. Outside of a little soreness from last night's experience, he actually felt like he could take on the world. 'Heh, guess I had a pretty good sleep last night,' he thought dismissively. He walked over to the full length mirror and flexed a little. His eyes moved to the long claw scars on his chest from the dire bear they killed, it felt so long ago. "Now that's a sight I would love to have framed," Sara spoke suddenly jarring Vect from his thoughts. He turned to see her laying sexily on her side, one hand holding her head up, the over placed on her curvy hip.
It just occurred to him that all signs of the...fluids from last night was missing. 'Guess I'll chalk that up to a succubus' powers,' he shrugged. Vect put his hands on his hips and swayed them slightly, putting on a little show for her.
"Mmm, please don't get me stirred up again, or else you'll miss your opponent today," Sara smiled. She pushed herself up and got out of bed, walking over to her dresser. "You go ahead and take your bath, I'll go later," Sara said as she rifled through her clothes, using her muscular tail to shoo him away.
Vect gathered up his clothes and left the room, running into Jack, who was just about to knock on the door. "Uhh, hi. Busy night," he teased slightly. Vect nodded, unable to find the right words. For a few moments the two stood in silence, both abundantly aware of Vect's lack of clothing. "Lelu wanted to invite us to this place down the street for breakfast. I'll let you go, sorry." He turned and walked back into his room quickly. Vect ran to his room, grabbed a towel and then bolted to the bathroom, only to run into Lelu stepping out of the large bathtub.
'Probably should have knocked,' he considered, thankful he had at least wrapped the towel around himself. "Sorry I didn't know you were up yet," Vect said quickly as he averted his gaze.
"That's kinda adorable Vect. It's not like you've seen me before. I was done anyways it's all yours, but you had better hurry if you're going to come with us for breakfast." And with that, she shook her head to shake off any water and sauntered out to her room. Vect closed the door behind him, wondering how much she had changed from that meek little thing almost a year ago. The 4 of them met down in the lobby and walked down to a gnomish restaurant Lelu suggested. As they passed the market stalls along the way to the arena peddling their wares, Sara couldn't shake the feeling something was off.
Alyvia was trying to sell some healing potions to a customer, along with one of Maximillian's as a bonus when she felt a rather powerful presence passing by in the crowds. 'It feels raw, unrefined and unrestrained. Who is that?' She finished up with her customer and mentally called for one of the many spies she had around the city, seeking out potential recruits. 'Find me the source of that wonderful power and keep an eye on them.' She then saw to another possible customer.
Later at the arena, Mai began her bout with a gnome alchemist. A quick hold person spell later and it was over, leaving the crowd a little bewildered at results as Mai walked away victorious. That's what happens when you don't prepare for a fight with a spell user.
